The perfect angel. Unmistaken.
Here on earth we try so hard to be the best we can be. Many of us fail. And we fail because we carry an idea of what “our best” should be. The idea of what it should be is almost always is given to us by people around us. Our parents, our teachers, our elders, our community etc. All of our ideas of what our best is- doesn’t even come from us. So most of us walk through life trying to fill a part of our life with an idea from someone other than us. Isn’t that strange?
The human view says that we are not perfect. But what I have learned is that the spiritual view says that we are.
I have made a great amount of mistakes in life. I know that. I accept that. But I am not a bad person because of them. At the time the mistakes were made from the knowledge that I had at the time. It was what I knew. I had no other knowledge to lead me to another decision at the time. As humans, most of us don’t want to make mistakes. It does not create any happiness within us. And it can take years for us to forgive our own self for any mishaps such as these mistakes. Who wants to live a life like that? In reality, when we make mistakes, if not corrected or forgiven we have a tendency to create even more mistakes. Then we really feel bad about who we are. Yuck! Do you see the road this can lead to? It’s a vicious cycle that no one wants to end up in. It’s torture, human suffering such as this is torture.
So, in addition to this, as humans we also subject others to this pain by not forgiving those who have done us wrong. It does no good to hold on to pain, to hurt. In either case. When we hold on to pain that another has caused us, we are no more perfect a human being than the next person. Forgiveness is the only key that releases everything to God.
Now if we look at life from a spiritual sense we see everything as a lesson. We see it as growth. We see it as learning. We DO NOT see life as a mistake. Everything we do on Earth is here to teach us about something. We are not living in a cruel game of chess between good and evil. We are here to learn. We are here to teach. We are here to experience. We are here to share.
As a kid and teen, I grew up resenting the life I had to live because there were many sad moments that I endured. I never knew that I was learning. I was learning so that I could teach others how to view their lives as something other than what they see it as. It’s not a mistake. It’s a blessing that will reveal itself to you when the time is right. A person will know it’s right when they finally “feel” it. You cannot overcome some “thing” until the feeling inside you arises. And the strange thing about feelings is that no one actually knows but you, and because you work on ideas/thoughts of others, you can have difficulty determining what you feel. But it’s okay. There’s nothing wrong with it. It’s a little foreign for all of us.
So we are perfect. We are in perfect alignment to our lives that will lead to new understanding, new avenues, new surroundings, and new experiences. There are no mistakes. This is a journey. The more we learn, the more we can let go and forgive.
Happy holidays! Namaste
