Honesty is the best policy.  Well, you couldn’t have hit the nail any harder on the head and gotten it so right with that saying.  Because it truly is the truth.  But you know what I notice at times?  There are those who think that you can get away with lying to people.  Yes, it’s true you may be able to get away with lying to others.  But you never truly get away with the lie inside of you.  The truth will always show.  It shows in your behaviour, your attitude, your actions, your speech and your body.  Lies are like a poison that eat away at the spirit from the inside.  So while you think you’ve gotten away with a lie, have you really?  Think about it.  There’s only you whom you have to be truthful to.  Be truthful to live a fulfilling life, a happy life.  The one that you deserve, the one that you have inside of your head, the one you really want.  It’s there.  It’s waiting.  Now to get to it, if you think that you have to go on record and tell everyone you lied – you’d cringe.  Right?  But honestly, there is only one relationship in this universe that is the most important.  And that relationship is between you and God, your creator.  In a quiet room, in a church, in a peaceful setting, or wherever you choose to speak to God, do it.  And it doesn’t matter if you feel weird, tell him that too.  All that matters is the truth.  Having an open relationship with your creator is beautiful.  We all need to have it in our lives.  The great thing about it, is that you can talk to God at any time you want or anywhere.  The quote, “the truth shall set you free” is beyond anything a person can experience.  It’s the best feeling in the world.  It’s better than anything you can think.  This type of relationship does take work and working it into your life so that you can get used of it.  And how do you know it’s working?  You measure that by how you’ve been feeling.  Do you smile more?  Do you give comments to people for no reason?  Do you treat people nicer?  Do you feel lighter inside?  If you answer yes to any of these, than it’s working.  It’s truly something that can give you personal freedom.  Because in the end, there’s only you.

The Glory is Yours
